What makes your brand different from others in your industry?
I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Before you feel sorry for me, let me just say that I have never been a fan of that holiday ever since I was a kid in grade school.
Remember those little valentine cards you gave to your classmates in school? I was always so shy about giving one to the cute boy in class.
Oh, and when I was a single gal, um “in-between” relationships? That day just served to remind me that I wasn’t going to have a romantic dinner with a handsome man that night. Big fat bummer! 😉
Yup, Valentine’s Day always felt like a “Hallmark Holiday” to me.
Even today, my husband and I don’t celebrate it together. He says the fact that I don’t care about that day is one of my biggest gifts to him. Ha!
But, what I DO take from Valentine’s Day is that message of loving and appreciating who and what you have in life, no matter what day of the year it is.
Right now, even though my rebrand is still in progress and I haven’t reached my BIG vision for my business yet, I really love and appreciate where I am NOW.
I love that I’ve discovered and embraced what makes me and my brand different from others in my industry [my visual brand strategy chops.]
Plus, because I know whom I serve (and whom I don’t), it has become much easier for me to develop my services in a way that really helps my clients. It helps me make decisions in my business by first consulting my brand to make sure what I’m doing fits with where I’m going.
What’s not to love about that!
And another thing, I LOVE the fact that my husband and my daughter support me in this crazy thing called “entrepreneurship”. It’s a wild ride sometimes for all of us but SO worth it!
How about YOU? Do you LOVE your brand? If not, what would you change about it?
