It was midnight and I was still sitting in my cubicle at the client’s office unable to leave – in fact, I was literally not allowed to leave. I thought that this must be what a rat in a trap feels like. Like there is literally no way out!
I was the Project Manager for a project that was basically the perfect storm: brand new client, toxic work environment, very little training for the staff and a skeleton crew to handle a huge workload. It was a virtually impossible situation and I was completely miserable. My family was miserable too! There were too many missed dinners and too many tears from my young daughter.
It was at that very moment I KNEW that the only way out was to lean into my purpose and fully commit to my business. I could no longer justify having a “nights and weekends” side-hustle that I loved but continue working a day job that was sucking the life out of me.
So, after much discussion with my husband, I made what has turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life! I stepped fully into entrepreneurship and I’ve never looked back. In the few years since that day, I’ve created a life that feels like a true expression of me.
I do what I do because I want EVERY woman entrepreneur to lean into their purpose and fully express themselves too. I want them to see themselves in their best light, grow their confidence in themselves and their mission and show their authentic selves to the world.
