I feel so very lucky sometimes. Not saying I lead a charmed life or anything but what I am really grateful for is the fact that I’ve been able to support some pretty incredible people who are on some pretty amazing paths in their business and their life. Helping my clients create their personal brand photos has been such an inspiring journey.
For example, my client Laura helps women entrepreneurs who are feeling unworthy but want to get out of that place and begin sharing their message in a bigger way with the world.
Or my client, Jessica who helps parents understand their children’s brain development so that they can form deeper connections with their kids.
Or how about Paul who wants people to understand that the future of business, government and even interpersonal relationships is all about transparency. He wrote a book about it and is currently on a book tour.
There are more I could talk about but I think you might want me to get to the point.
I promise, I’m getting there…
Why Brand Photos Are Necessary
If you are like most people, you may wonder who really would need to have photos taken for their personal brand. In fact, you might be thinking; “I’m not trying to be an Instagram Influencer, so why do I need personal brand photos anyway?”
The thing is, personal brand photos are actually way MORE necessary for people who AREN’T trying to be an Insta-influencer. Seriously!
Coaches, public speakers, podcasters, interior designers, authors, real estate agents, consultants, scientists, doctors, people in all industries and across all specialties should have brand photos if they want to stand out in their field.
If you are wondering whether you really need to have personal brand photos, ask yourself these questions:
- Do you have a big mission/message that you want to share with the world?
- Are you a speaker who wants to land big stages and get paid to speak?
- Do you dream of showing up as the expert in your industry?
- Do you want a large social media following with fans who LOVE what you do?
- Do you want to be a best-selling author?
- Do you have dreams of creating a wildly successful online business?
- Are you someone who has many interests and want to have a business that will allow you to pivot and bring your fans along with you?
Distinct From Your Business
If you answered yes to any of the questions above, I think you know you should be working on developing a personal brand as separate and distinct from your business or the brand of the company at which you work.
Once you have a few key things in place for your brand, you will NEED the RIGHT visuals to complement your brand and to help you connect with your target audience so that you:
- Can spread your mission and your message to a wider audience
- Get noticed for more speaking opportunities
- Show up as the expert in your industry
- Grow a huge following of people who love you and what you do
- Can promote your books to a wider audience
- Can help people get to know, like and trust you so that you can sell out your online offerings
- Grow a committed following of people who will come with you on your next big business adventure
I’m wondering…which one of the above types of people are you?
